Questions
Do I need an account to try a score challenge?
No. Anyone can open a challenge, write a prompt, and get scored immediately. Create a free account to save your history and show scores on your public profile.
How are scores calculated?
An AI evaluator runs your prompt and scores the output against the challenge's evaluation criteria (e.g. clarity, specificity, tone). Each criterion is rated 0–10 and scaled to a total out of 100.
What does my percentile mean?
Your percentile compares your best score on a challenge against all other Buildly users who have attempted it. Top 5% means only 5% of people scored higher than you.
Can candidates take an assessment without a Buildly account?
Yes. Candidates just need the link. They enter their name and email, complete the challenge, and receive their results by email. No registration required.
How does proctoring work?
When you enable proctoring on an assessment, candidates are asked to share their webcam and/or screen before starting. Webcam snapshots are taken every 60 seconds. Tab switches are logged as violations. Only you (the recruiter) can see this data.
How many assessments can I create?
Free plan recruiters can create up to 2 assessments. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited assessments and access to proctoring.
Can I use my own challenge in an assessment?
Yes. When creating an assessment you can write a fully custom challenge — your own title, scenario, and evaluation criteria — instead of picking from the library.
Do I need an account?
